Conversion
.RAW to .raw
1.
Use/Open
‘PowDLL Converter’ software in the desktop at MBM2 Lab, PPKB (as shown in the
Figure 1)

Under
the tab ‘source’, insert the .RAW file that you get after you finished with the
XRD scanning from XRD-6000 machine

Under
the tab ‘destination’, insert the name and location where you want the file to
be saved. Please make sure that it will be save/convert to .raw file.

Then
click ‘Convert’

Specify
k-Alpha 1 value (just click OK, do not change any default value)

Specify
k-Alpha 2 value (just click OK, do not change any default value)
7.
Specify
Ratio value (just click OK, do not change any default value)
8.
And
then the conversion is successful, click OK.
How
to convert .raw file for plotting and further analysis purposes
1.
Open
‘Xpert HighScore Plus’

Click
--- file open .raw file
3.
And
then you may save the file with .ASC, thus you can open through Excel for
plotting purposes (thesis, journal, lab report and article). Note: Student
cannot print screen the XRD patterns from the HighScore Plus and use them for thesis,
journal, lab report and article, however you have to re-plot the patterns.

For
those who wants to save the file after completed with the analysis, you may save
the file with .HPF (you may use this file again for reference in the future).
