Welcome XRD User!

Dear All XRD Users,
 

The XRD Machine is BACK & READY TO BE USED starting from Tuesday, 16 November 2021. We are open three days in a week, from Tuesday to Thursday.

As usual, you have to submit a filled application form to me for booking together with a proof of approval that you are allowed to enter the laboratory at Faculty of Chemical Engineering Technology (print screen/ pdf/ jpeg or whatever suitable). The mentioned approval is available via the link (https://bit.ly/3gZK67J).

Please note that, you have to prepare your sample (powder) on the sample holder yourself and then, the technician will run the scanning for you. Please refer to the tab under 'Powder Sample Preparation' and ‘Reservation Table’ for further details. You cannot keep the XRD sample holder with you and you must clean them back after your session. These include the holder and sample preparation area. (Your mum is not in the lab to do the cleaning for you.)

If you have other types of samples than powder, please consult me (if necessary) on how to prepare your sample for the XRD scanning purposes.

Please also make sure to bring along a CD on the day of your XRD slot, we can only pass/ transfer your results from the XRD machine via CD.

·  XRD users are reminded to be aware of the faculty and laboratory rules and restrictions of check-in and check-out from the laboratory. Visit https://covid19.unimap.edu.my/ for information.
·   XRD users are compulsory to check-in while entering the FTKK premises.
·  XRD users with symptoms of fever, cough, and breathlessness are strongly advised to postpone your XRD booking to prevent from being denied while entering the XRD laboratory

XRD OUT OF SERVICE

Dear all XRD user,

Our XRD machine is now out of service temporarily until further notice. This is due to the technical problem that we have this morning. The XRD team will re-schedule entirely the affected slots without affecting your turns. The new dates will be given once it is ready for use. 

We will keep you update when the XRD machine re-opens. Therefore, the XRD machine will be unavailable for any classes/labs/projects temporarily. XRD OUT OF SERVICE UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

Dear all XRD user,

Our XRD machine is now out of service temporarily until further notice. This is due to the technical problem that we have with our computer yesterday. The XRD team will re-schedule entirely the affected slot and announce a new date once it is ready for users.

We will keep you update when the XRD machine will re-open once all problems have been fixed. Therefore, the XRD machine will be unavailable for any class/labs/projects temporarily. PIC changed temporarily

Dear All,

I will be taking my maternity leave from 26th of March until 6th of July 2018 and will be back to work (insyaAllah) on the 9th of July 2018, Monday. Therefore, Dr. Norzilah Abd. Halif has volunteered temporarily to take over my job as the PIC of the XRD machine at PPKB when I am away.

She will starts being the PIC of the XRD machine at PPKB from 19th of March 2018, Monday. Starting from that date, please submit all the XRD booking forms or any matters regarding the booking/ cancellation/ postponement to her at her office (first floor of MBM 5). She can be reached at her EMAIL ONLY at (norzilah@unimap.edu.my) or else you can go and see her at her office. WhatsApp msg or handphone msg will not be entertain.
